ÇEPAŞ proceeds on his way with Gonvarri
On 11 November 2013 Çepaş signed partnership agreement with one of the leading Companies of Spain, "Gonvarri Group".
Chairman of Çepaş Board of Directors Mr. Fazlı Erdoğan and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gonvarri Mr. Jon Riberas stated during the press conference that they aim to accomplish large projects particularly in renewable energy sector.
Mr. Jon Riberas, Board Chairman of Gonvarri, expressed that their company involving in 3 main business areas as steel and steel products, automotive sector and sub-industry, renewable energy, serves with more than 35 thousands of employees in more than 140 factories at 25 countries.
Riberas stating their annual turnover is $ 12 billion as of last year also expressed that; “We have taken another step forward with Çepaş in Turkish Market in which we entered 8 years ago. There are major highways infrastructures projects in Turkey and your government wants to receive infrastructures services with higher quality. Therefore, we decided to make progress with Çepaş in this sector.
Solar Energy Sector has promising future in Turkey. We would like to walk together on this path by combining the experience we have, with Çepaş.
We believe that both sides will benefit from the synergies arising from this alliance. We will be as a worldwide reference in both Infrastructure and in Solar Energy.
Riberas stating that political developments in Turkey do not affect the investments also stated that “Turkey has promising future, we focus on this. We feel at home in Turkey”
